Hello world!

Who we are . . .

At Cameron Counselling, we provide a warm, supportive environment for issues to be explored and resolved, maintaining the highest regard for the rights, dignity and well being of clients. Our aim is to help people develop skills and strategies to handle life’s challenges in a healthy and resourceful way.

Joanna trained as a counsellor in 1987 and has worked for a relationship counselling charity and in private practice. Her specialist areas include bereavement and loss, relationships, anxiety, low mood and personal development. She is also interested in the broad subject of spirituality and in exploring, if appropriate, how this figures in a person’s day to day life. Joanna is a qualified trainer and runs courses centred on communication skills and bereavement.

Pam trained in 1997, and until 2012 worked as a counsellor and clinical hypnotherapist. Her main focus now is co-ordinating the counselling service for the Macclesfield branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The service has four highly skilled therapists, each with their own specialisms which include clinical hypnotherapy, relationship counselling, psychotherapy and mindfulness. Pam is also a parent coach and works mostly with groups of mums at a local children’s centre.

If you would like in-service training on any of the issues listed overleaf, we would be pleased to tailor a course to your needs.

Pam and Joanna are members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by its code of ethics and practice.
